Garlic Corn Butter Sauce
Yield: 2 cups
A quick, easy, creamy, "comfort food "sauce for veggies, potatoes and more. Pictured on steamed cauliflower and broccoli.
Ingredients
- 1 15 oz. can corn, no salt added (do not drain)
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp miso (white or yellow)
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp psyllium husk powder (optional)
Instructions
- Do not drain the liquid from the can of corn. Add all ingredients, except miso, to a blender and process until smooth and creamy.
- Add to a sauce pan and cook over medium heat for about 7 - 10 minutes, until mixture has thickened slightly. (Note: if you have a high speed blender, like a Vitamix, you can skip this step, and process in the blender for about 5 minutes to "cook" the sauce.)
- Remove from heat, add miso and stir until combined.
