Fast, Simple No Oil Marinara

Yield: makes approx. 4 cups

Ingredients:

  • 1-15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1-14.5 oz. can petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 tsp mushroom powder (optional)*
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp granulated onion
  • 1 tsp date sugar (or other sugar)
  • 1/4 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • salt to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a 2 quart or larger pan, over medium to medium high heat, and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 6 minutes, stirring every so often.
  3. Enjoy on spaghetti or other pasta. Can also be used as a pizza sauce.

Notes:

*I make my own mushroom powder by grinding dehydrated mushrooms.
